DTS values contextualized, effective communication of biblical and theological truth by a variety of means for personal and corporate transformation.

Communication Goal

• I want to practice how to conduct a YouTube channel for a nonprofit for the benefit of WNPA
• Practice skills for doing my own nonprofit

Strategies

• Organize a team of people at WNPA to be involved in recording videos
• Record videos for YouTube and post them weekly for WNPA
• Learn about YouTube through learning videos and books

• Create a team to record videos by the middle of September 2022

Part II

Overall Reflection Statement for Communication 

For my competence in communication,  I am submitting the URL for WNPA’s YouTube channel which demonstrates that I created a YouTube channel from scratch. We gained about 25 new subscribers during the 9 months that I created videos. I learned that it was much more difficult to gain subscribers than I thought. But I also learned that I really enjoyed making videos. I also enjoyed directing and creating scripts for other stories read. I learned that editing the videos was my favorite part of this process.

Learning Reflection

As I developed and demonstrated communication,  I have learned that I enjoy creating videos. I have also discovered that recording myself is much more difficult than I anticipated. But I enjoy editing videos with other people in them. I suppose I could say that I’m camera-shy. I noticed this most recently in my latest video regarding Christian Theology, Christianity and Hinduism (please excuse the video quality, I’m working on fixing the problem), that I did for a ST5106.

Lifelong Development Statement 

“As a result of the experiences documented by these artifacts, I will continue to develop in communication by continuing to work on developing my own YouTube channel. I have a clearer idea of what I need to do, including having better keywords in the titles and descriptions. I also know that I need to promote, promote, promote! I need to promote on all of my channels. I also need to develop a following on a newsletter that will help get the word out there.
